My 9 year old self would be proud…

Franny “Alicia” Reynoso is an Afro-Latinx actress, poet, director, and writer. She was born in the Dominican Republic but was raised in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. At the young age of nine, Alicia knew she wanted to be an actress and began to take the stage, through singing, dancing, and acting. With many years of training and studying under her belt, she continued to tackle her dream through college. She has been blessed to work with such beautiful and experimental companies as The Vineyard TheatreThe Harlem Repertory Theater, The Seven Collective, and Blended City. It wasn’t until she attended The City College of New York, where she directed her One-Act play from Edward Allan Baker’s trilogy during her undergrad studies, that she became infused with a desire to direct and write her own stories.

She is a proud T. Schreiber Studio alumnus. Alicia loves bringing a character to life; the process is a very enjoyable one for her, and she often grieves her characters at the end of a project or run, whether it is captured through film or theatre. She is a natural storyteller and allows herself to really go there. Some of Alicia’s most memorable roles have been Willow in Redemption, Maggie in Rocks and Hard Places, Cat in Breath, Boom, and Carmen in The Life.

Alicia is a Jackie of All Trades. In real life, she is an actress, a notary public, an Events Extraordinaire, and an Executive Assistant to the Executive Managing Director of one of New York’s top Real Estate companies. Always wanting to immerse herself in theatre, film, and artistic settings, she makes herself available to future collaborators and aspires to one day be a great addition to Hollywood’s storytellers and become a household name.
